Happy Birthday ANNUAL BIRTHDAY SUPPER will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 5:00 P.M. in the fellowship hall. This year's Western theme is calling for cowboys and cowgirls to bring one hot dish and one cold dish. Cake and ice cream will be supplied. Children are requested to bring an old pillow case for game time.

24 Hours of Prayer 24 HOURS OF PRAYER will begin in the church sanctuary at 8 P.M. on Saturday, February 25, and continue until 8 P.M. on Sunday, February 26. There will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex, in half hour increments. You are welcome to pray in the sanctuary, or feel free to pray while walking through the building. Proving the Bible COMBINED SUNDAY SCHOOL HOUR Scott Dunwoody from Bethesday Mission will be sharing with the adults and teens in the sanctuary, while Matias and Rebekah Mancilla from Child Evangelism Fellowship will be sharing with the children in the family life center. We will be having a free will offering to benefit both groups.

Heart Shadow HEARTBEAT COMMUNITY SERVICES INC. is once again arranging a bus trip to participate in the upcoming March for Life Rally in Washington, DC on Friday, January 27, 2017. Please prayerfully consider joining us, as we seek to fill this bus from Perry County so that we can join our voices together with thousands of others from all over the USA as we march and give voice to the voiceless.

The Bus will be departing from the parking lot of the Millerstown Community Park at 6:45 A.M. on the day of the March, but we ask that you arrive by 6:30 A.M. to prepare for departure. There will be a coffee/restroom stop along the way, and we will be dropped off as close to the rally location as possible. Following the March, we will depart from Washington, DC at approximately 4:00 P.M. with a dinner stop as we travel home. We should arrive back in Millerstown no later than 10:00 P.M.

The cost of the trip is $40 per person for adults, and $10 for those 18 and under. Reservations for seats should be made by Friday, December 23, 2016. If you are unable to attend the March this year, please prayerfully consider sponsoring a seat or seats on the bus for someone else to attend.

PSP Logo ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING will be presented in the fellowship hall Thursday evening, January 26, at 7 P.M. by the Pennsylvania State Police. Sadly, we live in a society where gun violence is all too prevalent. Learn what to do if someone enters the building and starts shooting innocent people. Discover the legal implications and best practices in this situation.

Cross Round DANIEL SHAYESTEH will be speaking during the morning worship service. He was born into a Muslim family and became a radical Muslim leader and teacher. Falling out of favor with Khomeini’s political group, he escaped into Turkey and began an amazing journey to faith in Jesus Christ. His mission is to help others understand and respond to those who do not know Christ, and to educate others of the implications of the worldwide Islamic revival.

Communion BREAD & CUP COMMUNION. All church members and the general public are cordially invited to participate in a Christmas Eve candle light service with bread and cup communion, Saturday evening, December 24th at 7 P.M.

Nativity ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM. The general public is cordially invited to join our members this Sunday morning for a dramatic Christmas musical, "One Quiet Night" at 9:00 A.M. A time of fellowship will follow. At 10:30 A.M. there will be a Children’s Program. Two plays, entitled, "The Story of Christmas-Eyewitness Animals of the Christmas Story" and "The Legend of the Candy Cane" will be performed along with a children’s bell choir.

Auction Gavel CONGREGATIONAL BUSINESS MEETING. All church members are encouraged to attend and support the ministries of the church for this year. There will be a brief election to confirm our delegate to the 2017 Annual Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Cookie TRUCK STOP MINISTRY BAGGING COOKIES ~ We are participating with the Cookie Distribution for the Carlisle Truck Stop Ministry. Please keep this outreach ministry in your hearts as you prepare for the holidays and bake extra cookies to share with the many drivers from all over the nation who utilize the Carlisle Truck Stop. There is a signup sheet in the narthex to donate cookies. Please have them to the church by Saturday December 10th or by 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 11th at the latest!

Movie SAVING CHRISTMAS ~ Friday, December 9th at 7:00 P.M. This is a Christian based comedy film about a man named Kirk and his love of everything Christmas. His sister's annual Christmas party is about to be ruined by his brother-in-law, Christian, and Kirk realizes he has to show Christian how important Christ is to the holiday season. Free refreshments will also be provided.

Christmas Child OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD ~ Once again it is time send Christmas to a Child. Information will soon be in your mailbox for you to be able to donate to this outreach. Shoeboxes will be in the narthex if you are interested in filling one or more. Thank you for taking the time to fill a shoebox or two for children in other countries this Christmas season!

Remembrance Day Remembrance Day will be held this November 6. During the service, we would like to take a moment to remember those who have passed away this past year and to remember those they left behind. If you lost a family member or friend this past year (October 2015-2016) we would like to remember them and your relationship with them. Baby Bottles Heartbeat Community Services, Inc., a Community Pregnancy Center located in Millerstown, invites you to join them for their Annual Fall Banquet at the Newport Family Life Center at 27 West Shortcut Road, Newport, PA on Saturday, October 29th, at 6:00 P.M. with hors d'oeuvres beginning at 5:30 P.M. Their keynote speaker will be Holly Tusing, a mother who, with her husband, Joe, had to make the decision of whether to abort their baby who they knew had anencephaly, or keep him. They chose to trust in God. Their son, Cullen, was born on October 30th, 2013, surrounded by love, and they were blessed with 8 beautiful hours with him. At the most difficult time in their lives, they experienced the greatest joy they had ever felt. This past July, the Tusings were blessed with the birth of a baby girl. Holly says, "God has truly been good to us and I look forward to sharing our journey with you."

Movie MERCY RULE ~ Friday, October 28, at 7 P.M. When the game is on the line, you want people you can count on—in baseball and in life. In the midst of a challenging season, Cody (Jared Miller) learns he's not the best pitcher, or the best teammate. Meanwhile, Cody's dad, John (Kirk Cameron), is losing to an unscrupulous lobbyist scheming to take over the family business. Both Cody and John think their only option is to fight their problems on their own. It's not until they learn to rely on friends, teammates, and—most importantly—their faith and family that they discover their battles can truly be won. Snacks will be provided.

Praying Hands 24 HOURS OF PRAYER event will being October 15th from 8:00 P.M. through October 16th at 8:00 P.M. Prayers will be in the sanctuary except during worship service, which will then convene in the church library. There will be a guide to suggest things for your prayer time. We can count on the Lord hearing our prayers!

Rally Day RALLY DAY & HOMECOMING Rev. Ron Landis will be the speaker, with music provided by Dry Bones Revival from the McVeytown area. Kingdom Kidz will be here to provide a special program for the children. Don't forget to stay for the fellowship meal!

Crop Walk Icon CROP WALK is an opportunity to alleviate hunger through the simple act of walking. Join with other participants on the walking track at Walker Township Park, located on the north side of Route 75, just west of the Route 322 Port Royal Exit. Registration begins at 12:30 P.M. and the walk starts at 1:00 P.M. It's also an opportunity to improve your own health at the same time.

Movie GOD'S NOT DEAD 2 ~ Friday, September 23, at 7 P.M., Bunkertown fellowship hall. From the college classroom to the public square, the name of Jesus is welcomed less and less with each passing day. If Christians don't take a stand today, will we even have a choice tomorrow? A young college professor faces the pressure of administrators and the public forum for mentioning the name of Jesus.

Kirk is best known as Mike Seaver of the ABC sitcom "Growing Pains." He presents a challenge for couples based on the example of God's unconditional love. Music provided by Warren Barfield.

Juniper Ministries MISSION TO HAITI ~ A group from the church will be heading to Haiti, January 23rd-30th, 2016 with Juniper Community Missions. If you would like to help sponsor a group member for this trip, a donation can be made out to Juniper Community Missions. Please mark in the Memo line of your check either Bunkertown Team, if you would like it divided between those going; or write the individuals name that you want to sponsor.

Checks need to be handed in by October 1st. You can give checks to team members or mail to Juniper Community Missions, PO Box 249, Thompsontown, PA 17094. Closer time of departure, the team will be collecting items for the health kits that are handed out during village ministry.

Fall Fest DISTRICT WOMEN’S SPRING LUNCHEON will be held on Saturday, April 25 at the Bermudian Church of the Brethren. This is always a special time of fellowship and encouragement for the women of the district. The speaker this year is Ruth West and it promises to be an uplifting day as usual. Deadline for registration ($10.00 per person) are due by April 10. Linda and Rosalita are going and would be glad to take others with us. You may send in your registration yourself or have it sent with the Leonard’s. If more want to go we can arrange to carpool.

Christmas Child OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD ~ Collection week for the shoeboxes this year is November 17th through the 24th ~ please see the information that has been placed in your mailbox. Shoeboxes will be in the narthex if you are interested in filling one or more. Boxes need to be filled and brought back to the church by November 25th. Thank you for taking the time to fill a shoebox or two for children in other countries this Christmas season...it's amazing what one shoebox can do!

Harvest Home Harvest Home items may be placed on tables in the narthex starting November 9. This year, the Harvest Home Committee will take the food collected during Harvest Home and will donate it to the Food Pantry. Also consider helping the committee bag all the groceries for transport.

Christmas Angel THE CHRISTMAS ANGEL TREE will be in the narthex starting November 2nd. It is a blessing for our church family to be able to give to 8 needy children during this Christmas season. Please select one or more angels from the tree. As in the past, instructions are on the back of each angel. Gifts need to be wrapped and at the church by November 30th.

Rally Day RALLY DAY & HOME COMING will convene at 9 A.M. with music provided by local talent, Friends In Christ. Friends In Christ They are a musical group whose foundation is placed solely on their Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Together they work to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, through their mission-song. They use their God-given talents to share their testimonies with many other Christians as well as many non-Christians. Craig is the District Executive of the Atlantic-Northeast District - Church of the Brethren. Victoria's beautiful voice has ministered to churches, retreats, camps, and Annual Conference. Puppet Team The First Baptist Church puppet team from Bellefone will present a children's program during the Sunday School hour in the fellowship hall. There will be a fellowship meal after the service.

District Women's Camp Plan to attend the 66th annual DISTRICT WOMEN'S CAMP to be held at Camp Eder. Retreat Leader is Bernice Wagner, a member of the White Oak COB in Manheim, PA, who has been an active speaker for over twenty-five years. The theme this year is Spiritual Aerobics! Mother & Child MOTHER & DAUGHTER BANQUET will be held in the church at 5:00 P.M. The banquet will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 5:00 P.M. This years theme is a Basket full of Blessings. The banquet will be catered and you can see the bulletin board in the narthex for the menu & prices, along with the signup sheet. All money for the banquet will be collected at the door. Remember if you are a Mom or Daughter you're invited and we hope to see you there!!


APRIL 6 - REVIVAL
DiSalvio” Robert DiSalvio” from Amwell COB in Stockton, New Jersey, will be coming in April to be the speaker for Spiritual Renewal Services. Services will be Sunday, April 6th at 9:00 A.M. and at 7:00 P.M. There will be a fellowship meal following Sunday School. You are asked to bring a hot and cold dish. Meat and drink provided. Hope to see you there!


APRIL 5 - BIRTHDAY SUPPER
Happy Birthday Please plan to join us for a great evening of food, fun and fellowship, at the Annual Bunkertown Church Birthday Supper on Saturday, April 5th @ 5:30 P.M. There will be something for everyone. Meat & drink will be provided. Please bring either a hot or cold dish to share and invite a friend. Please sign up on the sign-up sheet located in the Narthex by Sunday, March 30th.

Seder Meal The Lev Y’Shua Messianic Congregation will be joining us as we celebrate this Seder meal. A $10.00 per person donation is requested to offset the cost of the meal. The donation can be given to any member of the Witness Commission.

The Passover Meal, or the Passover Seder, is highly symbolic. Jews still observe this today. And each item on the Seder Plate symbolizes a significant part of the Exodus story. To help you fully understand the significance of this Passover Meal, the Witness Commission invites you to discover the meal and the meaning as we host a Seder Meal on March 9th beginning at 5 P.M.

Baby Bottles “Heartbeat Community Services is requesting your loving donations. Putting your small coins in these Baby Bottle” can make a huge difference in the lives of pregnant women as well as teaching abstinence to teenagers in our junior and senior high schools. Please see anyone on the Witness Commission with your questions. Please have all bottles returned by Sunday, March 2. Your small "change" may "change" a life.

Heart SWEETHEART BANQUET : There will be a signup list on the bulletin board next week. We will also be hosting some of the residents from Southview Apartments.

Skate SKATE NIGHT : Thursday at 6:30 P.M. WGRC is hosting a Christian music skate night. The cost is $5.00. Transportation will be provided. If you are planning on attending, please sign up in the lobby by the 2nd of February.
